On Friday 4th March we held our 13th annual Gala Ball to celebrate Store of the Year Awards for Musgrave NI at the luxurious Culloden Resort & Spa. Our theme this year was in recognition of the success of NI Sport’s pedigree and there was definitely a lot of success celebrated on the night with 18 awards amongst the SuperValu, Centra and Mace retailers.
Congratulations to the 3 overall Store of the Year winners; Collingwood Mace Aghalee, Watson’s Centra Portaferry & Hegarty’s SuperValu Fintona and newcomer store, Bells SuperValu Crossgar.
Our special guest was boxing legend and man of the moment Barry McGuigan who was interviewed by our compere Claire McCollum. Barry had the audience in fits of laughter with his stories of growing up as a grocer’s son and also inspired with his present success and work with our home grown boxing champion Carl Frampton. And let’s just say Barry is now a pro at taking a selfie! All followed by dancing the night away to the brilliant local band The Rockits.
We had a fantastic night all round and we are already on the ball as to what our next celebratory theme will be! Watch this space…
